Rex McClure — President, Chief Designer & Platinumsmith
Rex is the first Charlestonian to be President of the South Carolina Jewelers Association. His custom designed engagement ring won “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice” in the association’s annual design contest in 2012. Rex began his making jewelry 30 years ago and has owned stores in Atlanta and Texas. His expertise in hand drawing, custom design and hand engraving has earned him a reputation as “old world” artisan. Rex is the Managing Partner of the East Bay Street location in historic downtown Charleston.
Kristina Sohn McClure — Master Hand-Engraver
After graduating from the College of Charleston with a degree in the Classics Kristina began her engraving career in 1999, and received instruction from master engraver Samuel Alfano. In 2010 she was one of only ten in the country accepted to the Grand Masters study in the Bulino style of engraving by three master engravers from Brescia, Italy. She has engraved many heirlooms for prominent families, celebrities, and dignitaries across the United States. Kristina’s unique style and attention to detail assure her customers the highest quality engravings available anywhere.
